And the Winner is....

We were so surprised to learn that Bear Patch had a winner in the 8 Weeks to Win 30 Ways Bernina Sweepstake. Here is Barb with some of the goodies that went along with her new machine! Congratulations Barb!

Fun Days

Every once in a while I get to just be Grandma Debbie. I had fun at Aiden's Farm Pre-school open house. We got to feed all the baby animals, check out his class room and meet his teachers. I wish I could join in this fabulous program! Bob and I also were able to go to Gracies Kindegarten Open House. What fun! After a musical program of grades K-4 we visited her classroom and had home-made cookies! Just can't leave Brody out. He was busy showing us how to trim the grass he planted at his pre-school!

Creative Craft Crawl

Have you joined us yet for Creative Craft Crawl? Mark your calendar for the 3rd Friday of each month and come downtown between 10 am and 3 pm. 7 stores have hands on crafts and demos for nominal fees. Our May project was a fun wallet from Debbie Bowles of Maple Island. Don't miss out- we promise you will love our June project!

Shop Hop 2009

Shop Hop 2009 was a lot of fun. We had guest designers each day- Linda Hohag, Terry Atkinson, Pam Hansen, Stacy West, and Mary Herschleb. Bouquet Day was during Shop Hop- we gave away 350 orange Gerbera flowers! Make sure you come in and see the new books and patterns from each of these designers!

Glove Love

A follow-up to yesterday's post with some more shots of the gloverly creations made by our customers during the Craft Crawl---

Fancy Pants Glove Club

We have had a full day of Craft Crawlers today, and many rubber gloves bedecked with ruffles are heading for a cleanup job!

These White Bear Lake matrons (their words, not mine!) are ready for the white glove test!

Paige made 4 (yes four!) pairs for some lucky women in her family.

Patti is ready for the operating room!

Just a sampling of the laughs and smiles in the store as we explore new options with rubber gloves!  Who knew?  You might want to write down the date of our next downtown Creative Craft Crawl--May 15 from 10-3.  Don't miss the fun!

Retreat Fun!

A great time was had by all at our store retreat in Augusta, Wisconsin. Many projects were started and completed. We had special make-it-take-its each day- fancy ruffled rubber gloves and placemats with our names on them to name a few! Chefs Marilee, Leisl, & Debbie prepared great meals each day- no one left hungry. Can't wait to get together again.
