Stuff My Stocking - Day 9 - Rulers

It's Tool Time! Remember that classic bit?

Ahh, the good old days, with Tim Allen and his Home Improvement gang.

Some days at Bear Patch would make a perfect plot for a situation comedy, and we always take our tools seriously! Today we have something to add to your tool belt--

Some great Creative Grids Basic Range rulers! We chose 2 of our most popular sizes. The 6" x 12" is such a handy go-to tool for your ruler collection. And I especially like it when I am packing up to go places like classes, guild meetings, retreats, etc., because I don't worry about breaking it like my longer ruler that pokes out of my bag.

The 6" x 6" size is so practical for squaring up common sizes of blocks as we are constructing the next masterpiece. It can be used for all those half-square triangle or quarter-square triangle blocks, flying geese blocks, etc. And fussy cuts!

Regular price for both is $31.90
Day 9 "Stuff my Stocking" price
$23.93That's 25% off!
As is standard with Creative Grids rulers, they have the non-slip underside to make your cuts more accurate. Nothing worse than a slippery ruler!
The "Basic Range" of rulers has all the essential markings, but they have eliminated the 1/8" marks to make things a little clearer. They are printed in black and white, making them useful on most shades of fabric.
Notice how well the dark lines show on the lighter section, but the white lines really show up on the dark purple? So it's time to upgrade to these new rulers, and start out the new year right with excellent tools.

I think you know the drill, but here's the details:

Stuff My Stocking - Day 8 - Bobbin Saver

Did you hear the news? It's all over the TV and internet--Santa is tired of cookies!

He's making a switch to donuts!

Those do look scrumptious, but a little messy for my sewing room. Plus I would be forced to think about using that treadmill for something other than a place to drape fabric! Since we are always thinking of ways to help our customers, we are going to save you some calories today, and offer this kind of donut instead--

Bobbin Saver by Blue Feather Products
$6.22
(reg. $8.29)

The BobbinSaver holds metal or plastic bobbins of all different sizes. It is made of flexible rubbery plastic that expands to hold the bobbin and snugs up around it. Thread ends won't tangle or unwind and it holds over 20 bobbins. This is a perfect way to sort your bobbins by purpose and/or type of thread. Use a little label or marker to designate what each bobbin donut is for: embroidery, cotton, aurifil, quilting, piecing, etc. A fine tip Sharpie works perfectly.

I think you know the drill by now about how to stuff your stocking (not yourself!), but here's the details:

Stuff My Stocking - Day 6 - Best Press

Look what Santa has in his sleigh today! He has been hanging out with Mary Ellen (sorry Mrs. Claus!) and decided that you need to perk up your dreary ironing with this:
Yup, our favorite "Starch Alternative" is the deal for the day! If you purchase the 32 ounce refill size for $14.95, we will stuff your stocking with the handy little 6 ounce bottle for free! That bottle is regularly $3.95, and is the perfect size for portability. I know a lot of you go on retreats and sew-ins, so don't leave home without your little bottle of Best Press! There are several scents of Best Press and we know what our best sellers are. When we Stuff Your Stocking you can choose from these 4 top choices:

Unscented
Caribbean
Fresh Linen
Lavender

Or leave the pickin' to us and be surprised!

Why do you need Best Press? One clear advantage is that it doesn't accumulate and gunk up your iron's sole plate like the usual starch products. If you choose a scented bottle, you can dream your ironing board is on a Caribbean beach or a field of lavender in Southern France. Who doesn't want to do that?! Whether you pre-wash your fabric or not, this product will help you get the wrinkles out, and we all know we want a nice smooth piece of fabric to cut into.

But here's something that I'll bet you don't know about Best Press. I am a longarm quilter, and I love to get a quilt from a customer who has used Best Press. For one thing, it does have a very soft, pleasant scent. But most importantly, the blocks and borders are flat and square and neat. Plus, and this is a biggie, there are far fewer stray raveled threads on both sides of the quilt top. I love it!

Of course, Best Press can also be used on your everyday ironing, if you do such a thing! I learned to iron on pillowcases, tablecloths and handkerchiefs, but I haven't done one of those in many years. However, I do occasionally find a shirt that needs a good hot iron for myself or the Mr., so Best Press helps me with that, too. The guy in this house usually does his own ironing, and prefers the unscented so he doesn't smell like a bouquet.

So, don't delay--stock up on Best Press today!

E-mail us at info@bearpatchquilting.com with your order and phone number so we can call you back for credit card info.
OR
Call us at 651-429-1039 to place your order and leave your credit card information.
OR
Walk in the store and march up to the counter and proclaim "Stuff My Stocking"! Remember, we are open from 9 - 9 today!

Stuff My Stocking - Day 5 - Wonder Clips

Wonder Woman says "Stuff My Stocking with Wonder Clips! I use them whenever I am mending my lycra body suits. They are perfect to hold the body armor sections in place instead of straight pins that can leave little holes. Those little holes allow my enemy's gamma rays to penetrate and weaken my defenses. Don't let your defenses down! Buy Wonder Clips!"

I agree with Wonder Woman, every time I need to mend my lycra outfits I need these clips. And even when I'm not into my lycra, I use them for all my binding edges, laminated fabric and leather projects. See how great they fit on the edge of my binding waiting to be hand-stitched?

Just like the Wonderbra, these Wonder Clips from Clover are going to revolutionize your life! I even found out that they work to hold my pieces together when I am doing English Paper Piecing on my great hexagon project. There are so many uses for these clips, we knew you would want more than one package.

So today only--purchase the large pack of 50 Wonder Clips
Regularly these sell for $32.95
today you can have them for 25% off, only $24.73!

There's no one else offering you this kind of a deal! So if you have been spending time shopping for everyone else on your list, put yourself back on the list where you belong, Wonder Woman!

Stuff My Stocking - Day 4 - Pins

Today is the day to shape up that ratty old pincushion! Pull out those pins and set aside any pin that is bent or misshapen, any pin that looks like it is big enough or dull enough to be a thumb tack, and any pin that has a broken head. Are you left with anything good? You have permission to keep those pins, and right now throw away the rejects! Yes, it sounds radical, but you deserve nice pins! Say this after me: "I like nice pins and I'm worth it." Say it like you mean it. Now, for the price of one single $5 bill plus 4 pennies, your pincushion will love you. Glass Head Silk Pins in either red or white will make the perfect holiday decoration for your beloved pincushion. It's like an Extreme Pincushion Makeover and you don't have to let Ty tear down your house!

IBC Glass Head Silk Pins
$5.04 per box of 250
regularly $7.20 (25% off)

Then after December 15 you can pick up a pretty package with all your selections inside, and have a merry little Christmas! We have several shoppers who are not local, so they will get the joy of opening up a box delivered to their door--how fun is that!!

A Day of Rest

Check back tomorrow for Day 4 of The 12 Days of Christmas event. In the meantime, we are open today from 12-4 and we still have loads of Christmas fun and fabric for you. And our employee Christmas party tonight! Yay! And I finished the last stitch on my exchange gift last night! Yay! Do you have all your gifts done? I manage to stay just a step ahead, so now I have to get to work on the gift I need for my guild exchange on Thursday.
By the way, did you tune into The Shop Girls yesterday from 11 - 1? They are on 107.1 every Saturday, and I had not listened to them before, but I will be listening again in the future. They are a couple of funny, bright and entertaining women. And yesterday they broadcast live from the studio at Bear Patch! Bet you didn't know we had a radio studio, did you! Neither did I, but it happened! If you go to their site, you can listen to that broadcast, and hear all about their love of shopping and White Bear Lake.

We hope you are enjoying your Christmas festivities, and all the fun we are having with our special offers. If you are a Facebook person, you can "Like" Bear Patch and get notification of our 12 Days of Christmas that way, too.

Until tomorrow, Pam
